Xenophobic Attacks In South Africa Leave Five Dead

Xenophobic attacks in South Africa have left at least five people dead, reported numerous media on September 4, 2019.

The attacks commenced on September 1, 2019, with attackers vandalizing and looting shops and other businesses they thought were owned by foreigners. As such, some businesses owned by South Africans were among those targeted by the attackers due to probably difficulty in knowing exact business owners. Because of the targeting mix-up by the attackers, most of those killed in the attacks are reportedly South Africans.
