Women Procure Uganda’s Vice President And PM Positions

Women have procured Uganda’s top political positions of vice president and prime minister (PM), reported some media on June 9, 2021.
According to the reports, the country’s new vice president is retired army Major Jessica Alupo, while the Ms Robinah Nabanja is the new PM. The two women are said to have procured the positions in a new cabinet announced by President Yoweri Museveni on June 8, 2021, following his inauguration on May 12, 2021, for a sixth term in office. He won Uganda’s presidential election held on January 14, 2021, with 58.6% of the vote.
