Wavel Ramkalawan Becomes Seychelles’ First Opposition Next President In 43 Years

Seychelles’ opposition presidential nominee Wavel Ramkalawan won the country’s presidential election held on October 22, 2020, reported some media on October 25, 2020. Wavel Ramkalawan received 54.9% of the vote while the incumbent President Danny Faure took 43.5%.

Wavel Ramkalawan becomes the first next president of Seychelles from the opposition in 43 years.
