US Supreme Court Rules Against Abortion Rights To Protect Unborn Babies’ Rights

Updated: Jun 26, 2022

Rest Of The World June 25, 2022

The US Supreme Court on June 24, 2022, ruled against abortion rights in the USA. The landmark ruling comes about 50 years after the same court made abortion federally legal throughout pregnancy, hence a Constitutional right, following the Roe v. Wade abortion case to the court.

By this new ruling of the Supreme Court, abortion is no longer a Constitutional right in the US, although decision to ban it remains with individual states. The ruling will protect the rights of unborn babies presumably from 15th week of pregnancy as indicated by the court’s upholding of State of Mississippi’s ban on abortion after the 15th week.

Hitherto this ruling, rights and particularly individual freedom of mothers were considered as paramount, while rights of unborn babies with beating hearts were overlooked. Reasons for abortion were often trivial, materialistic, and egoistic, including poverty, career advancement issues, etc.

It is imperative to mention at this juncture that mothers are mere custodians of unborn babies not owners of the babies. That is because unborn babies are individuals that have same rights as everybody else.

The ruling of the US Supreme Court has been applauded by anti-abortion and God-fearing segment of the US population, as well as internationally by, among others, the Pope.

Incredible right decision by the US Supreme Court that should be emulated throughout the world! _____________________________ © 2015 - 2022 Africauptodate. All Rights Reserved
