Trinidad And Tobago’s Ruling Party PNM Wins 2020 General Elections



Trinidad and Tobago’s ruling party People’s National Movement (PNM) has won the country’s general elections held on August 10, 2020. That was reported by some Caribbean media on August 11, 2020.


According to the reports, PNM won 22 electoral seats, while the opposition party United National Congress (UNC) won 19 seats. Trinidad and Tobago has a 41 electoral seat parliament.


The PNM victory implies a second term in office for incumbent Prime Minister Keith Rowley.
