Tanzania Appoints Former Beauty Queen Hoyce Temu Ambassador

President Samia Hassan of Tanzania has appointed former Miss Tanzania Hoyce Temu ambassador. Ms Hoyce Temu, a communications specialist, is among 23 new ambassadors appointed by President Samia Hassan on May 22, 2021, as she continues to consolidate her reign over the natural asset rich East African nation.

Further to the new ambassadors, President Samia Hassan had earlier made several other appointments for key positions since ascending to power on March 19, 2021. The appointments include new foreign minister, new finance minister, new chief secretary to the president, some new permanent secretaries, and some new regional commissioners, among others.
