Secondary School Attack In Uganda Leaves At Least 40 Dead

An attack on a secondary school in Mpondwe town in Western Uganda on June 16, 2023, left at least 40 people dead, reported some East African media on June 17, 2023. The dead include 38 pupils. Several people were also kidnapped by the attackers.
The deadly attack is said to have been unleashed by an Islamist terrorist group called Allied Democratic Forces alias ADF, an affiliate of the notorious ISIS. The attackers reportedly burnt down the school dormitories with pupils locked inside. They also looted the school.
