Nuclear power plants are non-existent in Africa except in South Africa. That is despite some African countries having vast reserves of uranium, a vital raw material for producing the inputs for nuclear power generation.

Nuclear power plants albeit expensive to build, produce large quantities of electricity and are reliable and friendly to the environment.
