Norway Ditches Astra Zeneca Covid-19 Vaccine For Good

Rest Of The World | Science & Technology May 12, 2021

Norway on May 12, 2021 announced it has removed permanently Astra Zeneca covid-19 vaccine from its covid-19 vaccination program. That was reported by some Nordic media.

Norway joins Denmark as countries that have ditched the Astra Zeneca vaccine for good. The vaccine is said to be linked to formation of deadly blood clots in some of its recipients. So far, several people have died in Great Britain, Norway, and Sweden, after been vaccinated with the embattled vaccine.

In another Nordic country, Sweden, the Astra Zeneca vaccine is offered only to those over the age of 65. People in this age group who refuse to accept the vaccine, are not offered any other available covid-19 vaccine, hence automatically excluded from the country’s vaccination program, at least for the time being. _________________________ © 2015 - 2021 Africauptodate.
