Non-Oil Trade Between Botswana And UAE Reaches $2.5 Billion

Non-oil trade between Botswana and United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached a staggering $2.5 billion as of 2021. That was disclosed by UAE’s minister of trade at the Expo 2020 Dubai and reported by some media on March 16, 2021. The minister reportedly made the disclosure during a visit by Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi to the international trade event in Dubai. According to the reports, the above 2021 value of non-oil trade between Botswana and UAE implied 85% jump from that of 2020.
