Letsile Tebogo Delivers Botswana's First Olympic Gold Medal

Botswana's athlete Letsile Tebogo (21) on August 8, 2024, won the Athletics men's 200m final hence a gold medal at the ongoing 2024 Summer Olympics alias Paris 2024, in Paris, France. He won the race with 19.46 seconds. The silver and bronze medals were taken by Kenny Bednarek and Noah Lyles respectively, both from USA.
Letsile Tebogo's victory implies Botswana's first Olympic gold medal. That was an absolutely big deal for the SADC nation that declared August 9, 2024, a public holiday, to mark the sports milestone.
