Lesotho's Embattled PM To Go

Updated: Jun 28, 2020

Lesotho's embattled Prime Minister Thomas Thabane is on May 13, 2020 expected to hand over his letter of resignation to the country's King Letsie, reported some media. He will then leave office on May 22, 2020, the reports continue.

The 80 year old PM has been under immense pressure to go following allegations against him of involvement in the murder of his ex-wife Lipolelo Thabane. The latter was gunned down in 2017 as she was approaching her home on the outskirts of the capital Maseru. At the time of her murder, the couple were in the process of divorcing.
