Kenya's Long Distance Runner Kelvin Kiptum Is Dead

Kenya's professional long distance runner Kelvin Kiptun is dead. He died on February 11, 2024, in a car crash, in the country Rift Valley region. He was 24.

Kelvin Kiptum was marathon world record holder. He took the title in October 2023, after breaking the previous marathon world record and set a new one of 2:00:35, at Chicago Marathon, in Chicago, IL, USA.
