Kemi Badenoch Elected New Leader Of UK's Conservative Party
Kemi Badenoch (44) was on November 2, 2024, elected as the new leader of UK's Conservative Party, reported some British media. She becomes the first female African British to lead a mainstream British political party.
If the former Business and Trade Secretary will manage to navigate the party to victory in the country's next general elections in about 4 years time, she will become the first African British Prime Minister (PM).
Ms Badenoch takes the party leadership role from former PM Rishi Sunak.
