Jamaica has said it wants to ditch the Queen of England as its head of state and become a republic, reported some media on March 24, 2022. That was reportedly said by the country’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness on March 23, 2022, to visiting British royal couple Prince William and his wife Duchess of Cambridge Kate. According to the reports, the process of transition of Jamaica from monarchy to republic is already ongoing.
