Haiti's Police And Army Troops Exchange Fire

Haiti's police and army troops on February 23, 2020 exchanged gun fire near the country's presidential palace in the capital Port-au-Prince, reported some media on February 24, 2020. The police forces in both police and civilian clothes are said to have been demonstrating during a carnival festival, to express their discontent with alleged poor working conditions, when the gun fight ensued. The gun fight is said to have taken more than two hours. No one was killed in the incident.
