Ghana's Ex-President Mahama Makes A Return To Power
Ghana's ex-President John Mahama has made a return to power after been projected decisive winner of the presidential election of the country's general elections that were held on December 7, 2024. That was reported by some Ghanian media on December 8, 2024.
Mr Mahama who belongs to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ruled Ghana for one presidential term, from July 2012 - January 2017. His return to power will therefore imply a second term in office as president.
Mr Mahama's main rival in the presidential race, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is said to have conceded defeat and congratulated the next-president of Ghana for his political milestone.
