A court in Paris, France on March 1, 2021 slammed the country’s Ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy with a three-year jail sentence, two years of which are suspended for corruption. That was reported by some media.
More specifically, the court slammed the ex-president with the jail sentence after finding him guilty of, among others, attempting to bride a judge.
No one seems to be above the law in France, not even the head of state. Nicolas Sarkozy who ruled France from 2007 and 2012, is the second ex-president to be convicted of crimes committed during, after, or before their presidency.
