Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has kicked out Rwanda’s ambassador in the country, reported some media on October 30, 2022. The ambassador is said to have been slapped with a 48-hour notice to leave DRC.
The expulsion of the ambassador is said to be DRC’s response to alleged Rwanda’s support of a terrorist group called M23 that has been massacring civilians, fighting government troops, and causing havoc in the eastern part of the country.
M23 is said to consist of Congolese of Tutsi ethnicity. The ethnic group is predominant in Rwanda and Burundi.
