Queen Elizabeth II of Britain is dead, announced Buckingham Palace and reported by British media. According to the announcement, Queen Elizabeth II died in Balmoral, Scotland, in the afternoon of September 8, 2022. She was 96.

One of the most famous, respected, and loved monarchs in the world, Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 70 years hence the longest reigning British monarch. She ascended power in 1952 at the age of 25 after sudden death of her father.

Following the death of the Queen, Prince Charles becomes the King of Britain immediately.
