Bola Tinubu Wins Nigeria’s Presidential Election

Bola Tinubu (70) has won Nigeria’s presidential election of the 2023 general elections that were held on February 25, 2023. That was announced by the country’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on March 1, 2023.



Bola Tinubu who belongs to the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC) won the presidential election with 37% of the vote, while his main rival, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party received 29%, according to the announcement.


Hitherto the announcement of the results, the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party called for annulment and rerun of the presidential election, citing electoral fraud and violence. The two major parties also demanded the boss of INEC to go.
