Belgium Returns Patrice Lumumba’s Golden Tooth To His Family

Belgium returned Patrice Lumumba’s golden tooth to his family, in a handover event held in Brussels on June 20, 2022. That was reported by some media.
Patrice Lumumba at 34, was Democratic Republic of Congo then Republic of Congo’s first prime minister after the country got its independence from Belgium in June 1960. His rule was, however, very short-lived, lasting only 3 months to September 1960.
In January 1961 Patrice Lumumba was kidnapped and brutally murdered in Katanga Province by a Congolese armed rebel group in an assassination plot that was supported by USA and Belgium. Reportedly, his body was initially buried in a shallow grave but later exhumed by the perpetrators of his murder and dissolved in sulphuric acid.
