A$AP Rocky's Trial In Stockholm Resumes

Updated: Aug 2, 2019

The trial of music superstar A$AP Rocky resumed in Stockholm Magistrate Court at 09.00 hours on August 1, 2019.

On this day two of a trial that has made headlines worldwide, the popular African American rapper is expected to narrate to the court, his version of events on that day of June 30, 2019 he is alleged to have assaulted a 19 year old man, i.e. the plaintiff. Also, the prosecution is expected to call in its witnesses to testify.

On day one of the trial, A$AP Rocky pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault. Central to the prosecution's argument against the rapper during the court proceeding on that day, was a broken bottle it claimed the rapper used to attack the plaintiff. However, the prosecution failed to provide evidence in the form of, e.g. facts captured in video clips, to substantiate the claim. As such, some legal experts are beginning to suspect the prosecution is weak, hence predicting an acquittal.

The court will deliver its verdict on August 2, 2019.
