81 Killed In Protests In Ethiopia After Gun Down Of Musician
Days of violent protests in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, following the gun down of a musician called Hachalu Hundessa on June 29, 2020, have left at least 81 people dead, reported some media on July 2, 2020. Some people are said to have also been killed in protests in Adama city, in the country’s Oromia Province.
Hachalu Hundessa is said to have been very popular in the country especially in Oromia and a staunch critic of the Ethiopian regime. He was laid to rest in his hometown of Ambo on July 2, 2020.
