50 Killed In Train Crash In DRC
A train crash in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) left at least 50 people dead, reported some media on September 13, 2019.
The fatal train crash is said to have occurred on the early hours of September 12, 2019, near the town of Mayibaridi in Tanganyika province, southeast of the country. The crash was caused by derailment.
Fatal train crashes are rather common in DRC, due to an outdated railway system comprising mainly dilapidated rail tracks and locomotives.
