45 Killed In Floods In Niamey As Niger River Bursts Its Banks



At least 45 people have been killed in floods in Niger’s capital Niamey as Niger River that runs through the city, burst its banks following days of heavy rains in the country. That was reported by some media on August 27, 2020. At least 225 000 inhabitants of the city are said to have been made homeless by the floods, with large part of the city submerged.
