South Africa's Massive Nuclear Expansion Contract To Be Awarded End Of 2017

The chairman of South African Nuclear Energy Corporation, NECSA, Mr Kelvin Kemm, announced on June 19, 2017, that contract for South Africa's planned massive nuclear expansion project will be awarded at the end of 2017. The project aims at increasing the country's nuclear energy capacity to 9 600 MW, with overall purpose of getting rid of coal as source of energy.
