A 28 year old Kenyan lesbian, namely Lucy Murugi, is to be deported from Sweden, after her application for asylum was rejected on grounds of poor performance in the country's Migration Board's gay test.
However, Ms Murugi does not agree with the board's decision. She told the Swedish media that, she did not understand the questions posed to her during the test, and that she is afraid of returning to Kenya where she may end up spending up to 14 years in jail for her now open homosexuality. Passing the Swedish gay test is crucial for homosexual-led asylum applicants in this liberal Nordic country that is now becoming an iconic safe haven for gays and lesbians from all parts of the world, fleeing possible criminal prosecutions, harassment, and even death in their homelands. ________________ © 2015 - 2017 Africauptodate.
