As the official campaigning for the forthcoming 2017 Kenya General Elections gains momentum, Zainab Salbi reported from Nairobi on June 5, 2017, that the veteran established elite political parties are facing unexpected formidable challenge. A new political party at the country's political arena, called Ukweli Party is said to be determined to win the elections! The recently established political party is the 63rd registered political party in Kenya. It targets women and the youth, and has a young woman, namely Scheaffer Okore, as its vice-chairperson. According to Ms Salbi's report, Ms Okore who is beautiful, modern, single, and in her 30s, declared recently that women in Kenya are on the rise, presumably meaning politically, than never before. She continued that Kenya's established political elites are old and as such lack the capacity for communicating with women and young people, indicating that Ukweli Party could be aimed at filling the political gap resulting from the envisaged inadequacy of Kenya's existing elite political establishment.
