Zambia To Build Nuclear Science And Technology Centre With Russian Help

It was announced on May 31, 2017 by Russian foreign affairs minister Mr Sergey Lavrov, that Russia will help Zambia to build a nuclear science and technology centre called The Centre for Nuclear Science and Technology. According to the announcement, the centre will be built by Russia under an Inter-Governmental Agreement on Nuclear Cooperation for Peaceful Purposes that has been signed by the two nations. The announcement was made during talks between Mr Lavrov and Zambia's foreign affairs minister Mr Harry Kalaba who was on an official visit to Russia. Mr Lavrov also took the opportunity of the talks to commend and support willingness of the African Union, AU, to settle conflicts in Africa peacefully through political and diplomatic means. _____________________________ © 2015 - 2017 Africauptodate.
