Campaigning for Kenya's 2017 General Elections began officially on May 29, 2017. The elections are scheduled to be held on August 8, 2017. There are 8 presidential candidates, with the incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga as the main contestants.
